Darkest Hour Movie

New Regency and Summit Entertainment are developing the Darkest Hour, an upcoming science-fiction movie about an alien invasion. Director Chris Gorak (who was the art director of Minority Report and Fight Club) has been hired to helm the project and Tom Jacobson and Timur Bekmambetov are producing. The film is starring Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, Max Minghella, Rachael Taylor, and Joel Kinnaman. They're currently filming in Moscow, Russia. The Darkest Hour movie will be released on August 5, 2011.

The Darkest Hour has been described as a 28 Days Later-type thriller. Considering the film has a $40 million dollar budget and taking into account all the talent involved, this alien invasion movie is likely to be quite entertaining.
